Inaugural Post

As the famous quote from Confucius goes, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” And here it is: ’step’ (left foot - queue fanfare music). As with most things in life starting out from a standstill takes not only effort but courage and tenacity. Once rolling, things become easier as you start to draft off of your own momentum. At least that’s how it normally goes.

I intend for these writings not only to be a means for me to solidify my own thoughts but hopefully to provide a little insight and enjoyment for those that happen read them. This effort will be a success if those few things are accomplished. As such these writings are my domain and will cover topics that interest me; I hope that they interest you too. However, it is highly probable, in fact likely, that not all material will be of interest to everyone. After all my own interests range from software development and tech, to photography, travel, and food. This site will cover all of those areas and more. (I am sure that there will be times of concentration in one area or another as my own interests wax and wane).

So, there we are. Time to move forward: ’step two’ (right foot).
